Some blessings come with challenges…
Note, it’s still a blessing.
It’s not a half or incomplete blessing.
It’s an “Advanced Adulting” exercise.
What would you do if your car needed to be repaired at a specialty shop 80-100 miles from you and now that it is fixed and ready for pick up, you realize that you are the one who usually gets the “Hello, can you take me here” or “Hello, can you pick me up” calls?
How many heroes are in your contacts?
Do you have alternates or just one?
Hero Availability Matrix
Hero | Transportation | Overnight Support | Last-Minute Availability |
Hero 1 | ☑️ | ☑️ | ❌ |
Hero 2 | ☑️ | ❌ | ☑️ |
Hero 3 | Emotional Support Only | ☑️ | ☑️ |
Hero 4 | Emotional Support Only | ❌ | ❌ |
It’s a test
• Sometimes the unexpected is humorous.
• Sometimes it's concerning.
• Sometimes it's inconvenient.
• Sometimes it's all of the above simultaneously.
Well... Life Happened. Breathe. Pray. Activate Recovery Mission. Thank God in advance and afterward. Sometimes trust isn't knowing exactly how things will work out; it's remembering Who remains present while we figure out the next step.
I hope you have many Praise Reports and HeartSmiles after facing “Advanced Adulting” exercises.
From my heart to yours,
Dianne Lawson 💞
