Theme: Love
Growing up in a home filled with love and laughter, we learned lessons about ‘love’ without realizing class is in session. We learned:
Love should not be taken for granted.
Love is not just a four-letter word
Love is not a debt.
Love is a right now act.
Love is the reason.
Love is reason enough.
Love is Love when you’re happy, sad, frustrated, mad, confused, uncertain, comfortable and uncomfortable.
Love means different things to different people.
Love may look and sound different in each home.
Love may not be recognizable in some homes.
If that was your experience, I hope you discover that love can be learned, received, and shared in new ways.
When you think about love…
Do you think about the Golden Rule?
Do you think about someone, something, feelings, emotions, places, spaces, or something not mentioned?
My family sat at the table together for dinner. We enjoyed spending time together and sharing about when we were apart. We enjoyed spending time together with friends and extended family. We learned how to agree and disagree without ‘Love’ being questioned.
Growing up in a home filled with love and laughter, wasn’t something we thought about. It was our norm. Raising my sons in a home filled with love and laughter… the norm continued.
Love is a choice.
Love is my gift of choice
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." — 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
