Theme: Emotional Safety
Every thought is not be meant to be shared.
Every person is not meant to hear or receive personal information.
Some thoughts and words hold confidential content.
Sometimes thoughts, words, emotions need to remain within.
To speak or not to speak can be a complicated decision to make.
Sometimes emotional safety means knowing someone can listen without judgment.
Sometimes emotional safety means being able to share something repeatedly while you're still processing it.
Sometimes emotional safety means knowing your thoughts, concerns, and struggles won't become someone else's conversation.
Knowing who and where to share private or confidential information is having an awareness of emotional safety.
Being someone who listens without judgment, understanding whether presence or response is required is representation of emotional safety.
Can you tell when to listen only and let your presence be the needed response?
From my heart to yours,
Dianne Lawson 💞
