Confident Expectations of Good

Whether facing a challenging situation, circumstance or a loss… I hope you face it with Confident Expectations of Good.
Confident Expectations of Good doesn't require pretending this doesn't hurt.
Confident Expectations of Good doesn't require pretending the outcome never disappoints.
Confident Expectations of Good sometimes precedes Disappointment + Uncomfortable Conversations.
Confident Expectations of Good is still how We Stand On Faith.
Confident Expectations of Good is not a guarantee that what I hope for is what will happen.
You can pray believing.
Hope sincerely.
Stand on faith.
Expect good.
AND receive news that breaks your heart. 💔
The disappointment doesn't retroactively make the faith foolish.
The grief doesn't mean the expectation was false.
And an outcome you desperately did not want doesn't mean God stopped being God.
Confident Expectations of Good doesn't require manufacturing good news while confirmation is still pending.
It can simply say:
We will not abandon hope while we wait.
We will not pretend the possibilities aren't painful.
We will receive confirmed truth when it comes.
We will have the uncomfortable conversations that truth requires.
We will feel what we feel.
And we will continue trusting God.
💙 There is HARD waiting.
💔 There may be profound disappointment.
💛 There is love surrounding the people carrying it.
💖 There is faith that does not disappear when circumstances hurt.
Confident Expectations of Good before the answer.
Confident Expectations of Good while waiting.
Confident Expectations of Good when the answer is not the one we prayed for.
And, sometimes hardest of all—
Confident Expectations of Good while standing inside disappointment and saying, “God, I still trust You.”
💞💙💔💛💖💞
While we wait, we continue… Standing On Faith
And when it's all said and done...
Receive the outcome.
Then continue looking for the Good.
Bishop Virgil D. Patterson, Sr. says ”The bigger the challenge, the bigger the Blessing on the other side of the challenge”.
My father, David Graddy, used to say “There is something positive in all people, things and situations. Sometime you may have to dig little deeper to find the positive. Keep digging”.
Look for the positive whether the outcome is Good, Disappointing or without closure.
Appreciate having the strength needed to Endure.
Appreciate any lessons learned.
Appreciate still being able to say and mean “God, I still trust You.”
From My Heart to Yours,
Dianne Lawson 💞
