Theme: Motherhood Reflections
Motherhood begins before awareness of pregnancy and the journey ahead…
My grandmother had 14-16 of the 21-23 children in my father’s immediate family. Because of this, I was not afraid of pregnancy, labor or the labor room. I had no clues about morning sickness, changes in your whole body vs. stomach area only, high-heel shoe wearing days coming to an end or life as I knew it becoming, once again, a thing of the past…
Normal changes when Life Happens!
Motherhood impacts you physically, mentally, spiritually, financially, and more.
Who knew from before a child is born, most mothers begin to put the wellbeing of their child before themselves.
Who knew each pregnancy is different. Each personality unique. Each child deserving of unconditional love.
Who knew before planning anything you consider the impact every decision may have on your child.
Who knew that interrupted sleep, unintelligible sounds that include babbling, attempts to talk, or crying experiences might describe daily experiences for months… hopefully not for years.
Who knew that the sound of a baby’s laugh snaps you out of any bad mood… instantly!
Who knew that same baby and their mood might control the flow of family dynamics.
Hopefully you know you had/have the power to take control of family dynamics.
Motherhood, like life and grief, is a shared journey with unique experiences.
I pray you are Blessed and Blessed to Be A Blessing.Afterall, God trusted you to move from Woman to Motherhood.
From my heart to yours,
Dianne Lawson 💞
