Theme: Mutual Care
Bloodline. Extended Family. Heart-Connections.
Parents or guardians are responsible for your physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. They are expected to provide a safe environment for you while instilling morals and values that result in you being a respectable and responsible person. My parents did this for us, some of our extended family and friends. I believe my sons, our extended family and friends feel that I did the same for them.
Some people may not have a home environment with love, respect, positive communication, morals, values or concern for each other’s wellbeing.
How can love exist even when families are imperfect? Mutual care.
Some appreciate love, individuality, and connection within imperfection.
Some learn everyone is entitled to be their genuine self and deserving of unconditional love.
Some are aware that “love” is an action word, not an expectation word.
Mutual care is not a sometime thing.
Mutual care is bidirectional and consistent.
Mutual care is not dependent upon emotions or personalities… it is caring on the good days, bad days, and through unexpected Life Happenings.
Mutual care is visible and audible acts of support for the wellbeing of self and others.
Family is so much more than DNA.
Love can still exist even when families are imperfect. 💞
From my heart to yours,
Dianne Lawson 💞
