Theme: Giving Up vs. Pressing Forward
Choices and Decisions…
Right and Wrong…
Challenges and Blessings…
Every day you are faced with responsibilities, to-do lists, planned and unplanned situations and circumstances. Most require you to think, consider the options, consider the rewards or consequences, decide what is necessary and what can wait.
At home. At school. At work. Pick a place or space, the following may need to be considered:
Who
What
When
Where
How
Why
I’ve had many conversations recently regarding goals, dreams and life’s happenings where someone felt “giving up” was one of their options. Although the choice would be theirs, I doubt that I would readily agree.
Once you’ve set a goal, what stops you from learning and doing what it takes to accomplish it?
Is there something you dream of? What stops you from making it happen?
Life’s happening may be something wonderful to celebrate, something extremely devastating and to many things to list in between.
How do you celebrate the wonderful?
What motivates you to press forward, should it be something devastating?
To those who may experience something so awful that you consider suicide… Tomorrow could be the first of many better days.
Please know there is a difference between “giving up” and “resting”.
“Giving up” is not believing God Will Make A Way.
“Giving up” is not believing in Yourself.
“Giving up” is not believing knowledge, skills, resources or whatever is available.
“Giving up” is NOT TRYING.
“Rest” is pausing.
“Rest” is believing God Will Make A Way.
“Rest” is believing in Yourself.
“Rest” is believing knowledge, skills, resources or whatever is available.
“Rest” is what happens before You Try Again.
When learning something new, everyone doesn’t understand all there is to know after seeing or hearing something once. Sometimes questions must be asked. Sometimes practice is necessary. Sometimes a tutor, mentor, coach, volunteer, or someone willing to share their perspectives, skills, knowledge is able to make something make sense or provide inspiration and motivation to keep pressing forward.
Sometimes we have to get out of our own way.
Sometime we have to exercise our faith.
Sometimes we have to believe we are deserving of good things and better days.
I Hope You Choose to Press Forward to Accomplish Your Goals, Your Dreams and Through Life’s Happenings.
From my heart to yours,
Dianne Lawson 💞
